Adding your first family members
Your tree begins with you. When you sign up you create your own person — your name, gender and birth year. From there you add relatives one at a time and the tree grows outward automatically.
- Open the Relatives tab — your own node sits at the centre of the tree.
- Tap the gear icon on a node to open its actions.
- Tap "Add Relationship".
- Choose how the person is related: Spouse, Child, Father or Mother.
- Enter their first name, confirm gender, and mark them Alive or Deceased.
- Tap "Add Person" — the relative is placed in the right position automatically.
Tip: A first name is all you need to add someone. You can fill in birth years, addresses and events later.
