Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the FamiVox mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Kannaiyan Natesan ("Developer"), the developer and operator of FamiVox. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
FamiVox is a family tree application that allows you to create, manage, and explore your family heritage. The App enables you to add family members, define relationships, search for connections between people, and share your tree with invited family members.
Account Registration
To use FamiVox, you must create an account using a valid email address. Access is currently by invitation only — you need a valid invite code to register. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
User Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to FamiVox, including family member names, relationships, and photos ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it within the App for the purpose of providing the service.
You represent that you have the right to submit all User Content and that it does not infringe on the rights of others. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates any third party's privacy rights.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false or misleading information about family members
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Upload content that contains malware or harmful code
Shared Trees
When you invite someone to your family tree, they can view and contribute to the shared tree. You are responsible for managing who has access to your tree. We recommend only inviting people you know and trust.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Kannaiyan Natesan. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Service Availability
We strive to keep FamiVox available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned outages.
Termination
You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time by contacting us at support@famivox.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, with notice where practicable.
No Warranty
The App is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kannaiyan Natesan and FamiVox shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, unauthorised access to your account, or any other damages, regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
As the App is provided free of charge, you acknowledge and agree that you use it entirely at your own risk.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
