Recording life events & milestones

Events turn a name into a story. Add the moments that matter so they're preserved for future generations, and the whole family sees them in the Events feed.

1. Open the gear menu on a person and choose "Events" — or open the Events tab.
2. Add an event and pick a type such as birth, marriage or death, or create a custom milestone.
3. Add the year and any notes you want to keep.
4. Save — the event appears on the person's timeline and in the family Events feed.
